Having attended the e-portfolio conference: “Digital Portfolio … a voyage knowledge” on the ferry between Helsinki and Stockholm May 24-25 2008 the main impression is that the debate around e-portfolio needs qualification. Very often we end nodding yes, e-portfolio is good. But that seemed to be agreed before every single session. The argument seems to go like this: I assume e-portfolio will solve my problems, and – heurika – it did. We need ot listen more to Karl Popper here. What can’t e-portfolio be used for? When will it hinder or spoil learning?
